Pretty good

I like the bass and the piano, but I could do without the gun sound. It's not like someone's getting shot at this exquisite gathering, right? Well, it's a good beat. Peace.

I love this!

I have a question, though - how the hell does a beautiful song like this get a score below 2/5 in the first place? It just doesn't make any sense! That said, this song is beautiful, with faint melodies and texture, along with crisp drums that sound like drums. Dude, you're up there with RJD2, at least. Just rise above the haters, or whatever, and keep doing this. Excellent.

This is cool.

This is like hip hop, but drum & bass, too - which is dope. This is up there with Daedelus, before he got all whimsical and started sampling 1940s records (not that that's a bad thing). You should further define this, though; even with all this noise, all this going on, it still sounds blank. I gave it a 4, if that's cool with you.

That was pretty good.

I liked the organ and the drums; the organ sounded like it was from the 50s, and the drums were nice and crisp. They were like "Wax on, wax off" or something like that. Of course, it could use some work. There's not much bass to speak of, and. . . that's the only thing I could think of. Good job, and keep up the good work.

Interesting, but not perfect.

I like the "rolling" drums in the beginning; it kinda sounds like El-P's "Up All Night". I'm not so sure about the melody, though - it's only four notes, no chords or intervals, and it repeats over and over. I understand Joe Beat's philosophy and all; "Dope loop + Dope break = Dope beat", but you only hold one half of the puzzle. Well, maybe more like a quarter; when those cliche crunk kicks and snares came in, I got a little bored. Just keep working at it, throw in some hooks, improve the melody and the drums, and soon, you'll find gold. Peace.

Huh?

That beat was cool, with plenty of hooks and stuff. But the rapping was almost like MF Doom, just not fast enough. If you're gonna rap crazy, nonsensical syllables, rap it extremely fast so we don't know what the hell you're saying. Just experiment with speed and flow, and see if you hit any gold. Peace.

Piano needs work

The drums and g-funk stuff were good, but that piano part was wearing on me. Maybe you can extend it out, use some chords and intervals, stuff like that. But the same "duuh-dah-du-da-du-doo-dah-da-dah" needs to, in the words of crazy John Lydon, open up! That's all. Everything else was cool.

Finish It!

You're damn right you should finish it! That song almost sounds like a ghetto opera, old ladies and everything. I like the drumloop, too - it kinda sounds like N.W.A's "100 Miles and Runnin'". Pretty cool.

im not sure about the choir lol anyway thanks for the review man i appreciate it

Pretty good. . .

Damn, man, I thought those 109 seconds were the intro. With that line "We the anti-killers, b***h" (or whatever you said), I was waiting for you to start KILLING IT, but you just had that beat play over and over again. Not that it was bad. I usually dismiss crunk and listen to El-P instead, but that was pretty listenable. Next time, though, write some dope sh**, and kill it. Peace.
