I like where this is going. Really intense minimalism. I think the kick is clipping a bit (check the volume there, see if it's not red-lining or anything), and the snares could probably come out a little bit (to keep up that fierceness). Maybe mess with the velocity on the individual drum hits so it doesn't sound so robotic, and also, maybe try smaller rhythmic subdivisions, since all the drum hits I heard going on in there sounded the exact same amount of time apart. Play with the space in between each sound. I dunno. It's a promising start, I bet if you keep messing around with it, something badass could pop out of it. Fuck it, I dig it.

thank you I'll work on it

The rapping's really energetic. I really like the bassline in the beat. The A/B transitions in the beat go really smoothly. I think the vocals could be slightly louder to keep up with the drums... maybe. I dunno. Good work, though.

0:54 that "dum dum dum dum" sample that came in, I think I've heard that from somewhere but I can't remember where. Uhhh, tip of my tongue (er, fingers). Really liked the drums. They remind me of that Gypsy Here in the Garden break, but with more crashiness. There's this unsettling lo-fi ness to the beat that gives it some sweet mood. Really dug the bass thing at 0:56 (that cool little dip). I really thought it was gonna happen again right after, but it did some other thing. I dug it. I mean, I miss the crazy sample manipulation/chopping you do now, which -- the right sample could really make this thing pop. I just don't know what would fit.

BOULLIE responds:

Me neither =(

It feels so unfinished. The dum dums came from a movie called Akira

The Doll's Polyphony song

I dig the drum pattern, very busy. The melody/accomp part sounds kinda chopped, but I'm not sure if you were chopping wav files or midi files. Either way, it sounds really cool. Loved whatever happened at 1:18.

TheGameReapa responds:

thanks bro

Those kicks are so bouncy, I love it. Nice and happy, puts me at ease.

Man, I mean it does sound rough, but I just pretend I'm listening to some Wu-Tang demos from 1994 or something and it's all good. Real time machine shit.

THOSE 4CAT CHORD PROGRESSIONS, I LOVE IT. Drums are pretty sweet too. This is so Stevie.

This is too good, man. Those freaking drums.

BOULLIE responds:

WHERE YOOOU BEEN!?!?!?

Thanks tho

Flow reminds me of Diverse. Lots of cool multi-syllabic stuff going on. Love the beat. I could definitely listen to more of you rapping.

B-RadGfromOV responds:

Thanks! I'll have to record more!

Where'd you get those choir sounds from? They sound dope!

xxxZigZagxxx responds:

Magnus Choir VST, man. You just bring the attack down to 0 and the release down to 0, too. It's a nice VST and I love the sound that comes out of it.

I do music because I'm bored.
