I hear something in there that sounds like Purple Rain. And how did you make the drums? Cool stuff, man. I like the distorted vocals on top - the weird grunts and stuff. It's a nice touch.

Gobblemeister responds:

It is from Purple Rain I got it from a sample pack and the drums came from a J Dilla sample pack so 90% of this isn't really mine but don't tell anyone ssshhhh it's our secret.

Dude, you're a fucking monster on the guitar. I wish I could play like that.

Shredator responds:

Thanks!

I like this a lot. Reminds me of Michael Penn's theme for Boogie Nights. Lots of wacky Baroque stuff. Nice melodies, too.

Shredator responds:

I like Bach and Yngwie alot, so there so much Baroque. Thanks .

This could benefit from transitions between sections. I could see it as background music for a documentary about the universe, if for each section Carl Sagan talks about a different planet. I don't know. Keep experimenting.
The drums at 1:44 sound really cool. How did you make them?

Shredator responds:

I really was creating it with imagin of galaxy and other stuff, well, that`s why i called it through the space.
The drums are Ezdrummer- Electronic pack.
Thanks.

The reviewer below me already covered a lot of the things I was going to say. The strings would stop and start too quickly to sound realistic, you know? Which is okay, but the drums would keep going. So there's this weird contrast of artificial sounding string treatments and realistic drums, and I didn't know how to categorize what I was hearing.
Also, for some reason, the drums sounded a little off, rhythmically. Again, this might have to do with the strings.
However, the flute and the chimes sounded bloody great. And the part writing in general is phenomenal. I think if you tweak the attack on the strings, give them some reverb, etc - this piece will be a knockout.

Shredator responds:

This very good comment! I must working on technical side more.

It sounds pretty cool, but I'm pretty sure it's clipping. Clipping REALLY hard, actually. That's a shame though, because this sounds pretty nice. Cool sample, or whatever that keyboard sound is.

Damn. The intro's pretty thick and heavy, but once I got through that, I was impressed by the drums. Really cool drum pattern. I think the synth stuff is a bit overwhelming, especially when it seems like the synth's getting louder and louder. Sounds space age. I think it's pretty cool.

BOULLIE responds:

Thanks

Love the bassline (reminds me of Jaylib's The Red) and the keyboards (so warm). The drums are also quite good. Funky drum pattern. Beat's got a lot of cool layers. And I liked the 1 2 at the end, it was a nice touch.

BOULLIE responds:

Much respect man, thanks for coming through.

Jesus, this sounds great. Like Boards of Canada with a beatbox on top. Damn.

xxxZigZagxxx responds:

Thanks bro I wasn't really proud of this beat but I got some good feedback from my friends, one of them even said it was "the best thing I've heard from you" so that's probably a good sign :)

Cheers and thanks for commenting :)

I really like this. A lot. The dusty keyboards remind me of Machinarium. When the drums come in, all the little flourishes you put on top sound dope - the reversed drum hits, the organ chords that sync up with the drums. The only thing I'd recommend changing is the hi hat pattern, which sounds kinda flat. Alternate the velocity on some of those notes. Nice work.

xxxZigZagxxx responds:

Thanks for the feedback bro. Yeah the hi-hat pattern was a bit flat, I mean it was just a bar of the same pattern repeating over and over again :P But yeah thanks for the feedback, I'll remember to make my hat line a bit more interesting next time. Cheers bro :)

I do music because I'm bored.
