Just curious, are you a jazz purist? I'm asking because I was about to say the sax could use some compression in spots, but I didn't know if you were doing dynamics on purpose. Oh wait, it's Canon in D. DUH. Sorry, I'm a music noob, I forgot classical music had dynamics in it. You're probably asking yourself why if I made a mistake don't I just hold down the backspace key and type my review again, but I think it helps if I just illustrate my thought process. So... anyway, you got some chops as a sax player. Now, this is me talking, I listen to hip hop and shit, so you can disregard my advice totally, but I think the recording would benefit from some compression and EQ. Compression because whenever you got loud I had to turn my speakers down and whenever you got soft I turned them right back up (then again, hip hop tends to stay at one volume level the entire time). Also, EQ because there's some frequencies in the recording that tend to grate (between 2 and 4 kHz - if you have FL Studio, these frequencies are labeled as "Upper Mids" in the Parametric EQ 2 plugin) - if you cut back those annoying frequencies just a bit, I'd be able to listen to this louder without wrecking my ears. Otherwise, nice sax playing! Keep up practicing, bro!
