2011 ish? Based on the crackle going on with the drums, since I think your drums got way cleaner over time. But then I'm thinking, sometimes you put the crackle in there on purpose for nostalgia's sake or something. Shit man I dunno, it sounds dope though.

I'm gonna say you're fucking with us and you made this shit yesterday.

But seriously, you like Prince with his vault of tracks he just holds onto? Like when you feel like uploading something, you head over to the Bouille vault, put in the combination, mouth fuck the DNA scanner thing, and beep boop, door slides open with the dry ice smoke coming off and there's all this vintage ass beats and you pick a random number between 1 and a 1000 or something?

Probably got those on cassette too. Just to keep it old school. Pop it into your cassette to mp3 converter, except it's not mp3, 'cause to keep it extra vintage you convert it to floppy discs on your Apple II or something. Enough space on a floppy to store 2 seconds of a beat. 200 floppy discs later...

I dunno

BOULLIE responds:

lmfaaaaaao

im ded loool. Mouth fuck a dna scannerrrr

It's a couple months old at least, I've got plenty of newer stuff too but I always want to know
what the NG community thinks of the older work

Son if that was my process to access old beats, I better be out of this galaxy with my shit lol

Forgot I was listening to newgrounds and not itunes, really thought Doom was gonna start rapping. The kung fu noises, man. Very herbs and spices

1:32 -- those crazy horn noises, man

1:58 -- sax fit in real well

BOULLIE responds:

Word em up thank yooou.

Tryna tighten my loop game

Instant head nodder. Love those quick drum rolls.

I love the vocal hook/sample thing. I dig the way that sound was processed. Got this Zoo station space thing going on. The pllllinks on the chords for the keyboard sound GREAT. Those synths at 1:58 sound cool too. Jesus Christ, how many synths/instruments do you have lying around. It's like you figured out how to fit all of them into one song.

The off-kilter ness of the drums is also dope. The claps sound fantastic.

I dig the mood of the track. Dude I dig everything about this. Goddamn, dude.

fearing responds:

Very much thank you for such awesome feedback! I can't thank you enough. Keep it real man

This is badass. I like the back and forth between the ethereal Radiohead sounding first part (with the fingerpicked guitars that sound really good and those ghostly vocals) and then it switches into this ASAP Rocky kinda thing, with the relentless drum pounding and those fucking fantastic vocal chops (the high pitched, cut and chopped sounding things). I think a different bass might've worked better for this part -- something really low. But I still super dig what you had going on (gives a good nature vs technology contrast when you go from natural sounding strings to harsher, more machine sounding instruments). Totally reminds me of Clams Casino -- spacey textures, reverb-drenched vocals, crunchy snares, general feeling of floating out in space.

I dug the fuck out of this track.

Bridge part at 2:09 sounds really cool. Especially those slow building reversed-sounding warm string/synth things.

Dude I love the piano sounds. I like how it slides in, and how the notes sound fucked up at first but resolve. Rhythmically it sounds cool too.

Wasn't totally digging the strings. Texturally, it made a great contrast to the sharp plingy piano, but notewise I think it could've been doing something more interesting. I also think it could've used some more reverb or something to smooth out when it drops out.

The bassline was fucking phenemonal. It sounded great. Drum pattern was killer.

My favorite thing about the track was the chord progression was twice as long as I thought it would be, so when I thought the chords were gonna loop back, they did some other shit. That was cool.

B-RadGfromOV responds:

You summed up my thoughts exactly.

Thanks for listening as always!!

Love the hats. Dig the bass. I really like the madlib/doom-esque riff thing the high pitched keyboard does during the 'chorus' part. Not too big into the noteless clanky clanks the keyboard does elsewhere in the riff -- they kinda clutter up the funky rhythm the drums/bass have going on. They just seem like they're happening in weird places. Then again, it IS jazzy. Can't argue with that.

I dig the lil half-step down thing the bassline does (love when that shit happens). Cool ass beat, I dig the fuck out of it.

B-RadGfromOV responds:

Thanks for the listen! Yeah I tried and tried to get those little clip clop slap noises out of the keyboard sample, but they remain, sorry.

I dig this track a lot. The chimes throughout is probably my favorite part of it -- the volume on it is perfect, and it represents the high frequency range really well.

The weird vinyl sounding pitch shift thing is really cool (something I might want to try out at some point, thanks for giving me the idea). It sounded weird at first but I got used to it as the track went on.

The reverse drums part sounded really cool, but the chillout part after sounded like it had some heavy high pass thing on there that got kinda distracting. And at one point, around 6:38, the hi pass switched on and off real quick. That sounded kinda gross. I don't know what you were trying to do there, but it was really sudden and distracting.

I really liked the drums. The drum pattern was cool, the way the drums sounded was great. All in all I really dug this track. I understand you're still working on it, so there's still some stuff you can tweak, but it's coming together really well.

I didn't notice any problems/anything weird with the bass. It sounded pretty good.

ggsevv responds:

That switch you heard with the hi pass was me being lazy with the automation and not wanting to set a new clip for the end portion of the song, which is twice as long as the intro. That was it fading the output from the EQ all the way down and all the way back up in one beat. -____-

Thanks...I almost forgot that....heh..lol

I kinda think the beat sounds better sped up -- the snare got more of a click to it or something. You do anything else to it other than speed it up?

Lyrics had me cracking up a bit. People actually say that shit in line?

kenhandra responds:

Lol thanks. I didn't speed it up I changed the pitch. Cause me and my bro was messing around with the computer, and he accidently hit the pitch button lol. I guess some mistakes turn into pieces of art.

Your flow's badass, dude. I didn't know you rapped.

I think your mic's fine. I didn't hear anything too egregious noise-wise.

B-RadGfromOV responds:

:D Yeah I've got some raps on here.6 or 7 I think.
I did remove the hiss best I could, but it causes a drop in quality. I don't get the clarity I'd like.

I do music because I'm bored.
