Intro is awesome!

I agree with pretty much everything G-Styles said: the intro is awesome, but the synth doesn't fit too well. The chorus isn't working, but the verse is excellent. That weird pluck/pizzicato is cool; just lower the volume on it. Good beat; peace. (new beats; check 'em)

Greeksta-69 responds:

I know the chorus dosent work but i wanted it to sound diverse so i put it down an octave first then up and octabe on the synth. Thanks for the review.

Huh.

Why's there a crackle sound? Did you sample this off an old record, or did you just add a fake crackle sound? Either way, it's pretty cool. Peace. (new beats)

Pandoryk responds:

The crackle sound isn't something I wanted, but I found it cool and adapted and keep it for the loop ^^
Thx for the review dude! =D

Damn.

That is a good ass beat. All I can say. Peace.

By the way, how do you get 64 reviews?! That's just insane.

Greeksta-69 responds:

I have like 85 now lmao, thanks :)

Interesting

The melody would've been cool, but you used bells, which don't really carry the melody well. It's more of a sound effect than a song, but still interesting. Not trying to be hard on it, but that's a little too avant-garde for me.

Pandoryk responds:

Wow! a little too avant-garde, that's a very nice compliment! Thank you very much!

Damn

I love the keyboard sounds; kinda like A Tribe Called Quest. Strings are pretty cool, too. Nice beat. Peace.
- Ph. (new beats, but not the one I sent you)

TheGameReapa responds:

thanks, im tryin to get this score up, because i took some damage when i first uploaded the beat

Huh.

I liked the bassline; nice sound and melody. The drums were kinda weird, though - I'm cool with the panning, and the reverb to some of the drums was nice, but the kick didn't sound like a kick, but more like a fart. Overall, the drums didn't carry much power to them. The synth and other melodies, even though in the same key, just didn't match the bassline. 2 completely different moods. And the electric guitar doesn't work with the song. Other than that, though - cool song. Just work on it a little more.

Cebster responds:

haha just casue i like your songsw and score them high doesnt mean you have to do the same for me, by the looks of review i thought you would have given me like a 3 or something

Cool

I liked those Japanese instruments you used right after the intro (intro was cool; nice and filtered) and that synth sounded like a pizzicato on steroids, although the melody with said Japanese instruments was a little weak. The drums were sweet, too - probably the focal point of the song. Then, in the middle, this cheesey, 80s synths tries to make a quick cameo and get famous, or something. That's like "Totally Awesome Song" by Greeksta-69 featuring, uh, some homeless guy off the street. If you took out that particular synth (replacing it with something way cooler, of course) and put more texture and ambience into the song, it would be dope. Peace.

Love the melody

That melody is endlessly beautiful; so serene and quaint. The drums leave a little to be desired, though. I would suggest you craft just a piano song - not a beat, just a piano song, with melodies and stuff. That should really accentuate your ability to create haunting soundscapes, like the one I'm hearing now. Also, experiment a little more. I hate to say it, but this beat sounds a lot like this other beat you did a few weeks back. A lot like it. You're kinda running into the late 90s Nine Inch Nails dilemma - creating variations in your music, but not progressions. Experimentation should really help you in progressing as a musician. Just mess around. Peace.
- Ph. P (new song - "Hangin' by the Beach")

TheGameReapa responds:

thanks for the comment, i do need to experiment a lot more, im still learning the fruity loops program so i havent really used alot of diffrent precussions and sounds and wut not.

Cool

The orchestra/strings, synths, and drums are cool. There are some parts where distortion goes a tad far (beginning of the song, 1:28, etc.) but overall the song's pretty good. Next time, before uploading your song, try listening to your song through different kinds of speakers - headphones, computer speakers, even a car. Identify what could use fixing, and apply. Easy. Oh, and check out my new song, "Hangin' by the Beach." It's pretty good.

DJSOS202 responds:

lol i did the distortion on purpose...lol thx for the review and i will review it!

Reminds me of Blade

Remember that opening scene of the movie Blade, where all the vampires are dancing in that nightclub? This song kinda reminds me of that, with its dark basslines and quick drums and stuff. Really cool. Also, the piano that comes in later on is extremely cool, and I love the kick sound you used (it literally sounds tight). Keep it up, man!

Anima-Theory responds:

I can't remember blade :(

But I'll take your word for it :P

Thanks man for the review
